Introduction

RoleAtlas (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the website and application at roleatlas.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our AI-powered interview practice platform.

Information We Collect

Account Information. When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials. If you sign in through Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google.

Interview Data. When you use RoleAtlas to practice interviews, we collect audio recordings of your responses, AI-generated transcriptions, scores, grades, feedback, and session metadata such as role selection, career stage, question count, and timestamps.

Resume & Job Description Data. If you choose to upload a resume (PDF or pasted text) or provide a job description, we store that content in your profile to personalize your interview questions and scoring feedback. Resume text is truncated to approximately 3,000 characters for processing.

Usage Data. We automatically collect information about how you interact with the platform, including pages visited, features used, and device information such as browser type and operating system.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and operate the interview practice platform, transcribe your audio responses using AI services, generate scores, feedback, and performance analytics, track your progress over time, improve our platform and develop new features, process payments and manage subscriptions, and communicate with you about your account or our services.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate RoleAtlas:

Supabase — Authentication, database, and file storage. AI Service Providers (such as Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google) — Audio transcription and response scoring; the specific providers used may change over time as we improve our service. Google — OAuth authentication. Stripe — Payment processing and subscription management. Resend — Transactional email delivery. Vercel — Website hosting.

When you provide a resume or job description, that content is sent to our AI providers to generate personalized interview questions and evaluate your responses. These providers process your data under API terms of service that prohibit the use of customer data for model training. Your resume and job description content is used solely for real-time processing and is not retained by these providers for any other purpose.

These providers may process your data in accordance with their own privacy policies. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

Data Retention

We retain your account and interview data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. When you delete your account, all associated data — including recordings, transcriptions, scores, and session history — will be permanently removed.

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and secure storage through our infrastructure providers. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Email Communications

When you create an account and complete practice interviews, we send you transactional emails related to your interview performance, including your scores, feedback summaries, and practice reminders. These emails are sent to help you get the most out of your practice sessions.

You can unsubscribe from practice reminder emails at any time using the unsubscribe link included in every email. Unsubscribing does not affect your account or access to the platform.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including accessing the personal information we hold about you, requesting correction of inaccurate information, requesting deletion of your personal information, and objecting to or restricting certain processing of your data. Children's Privacy

RoleAtlas is not intended for individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated policy on our website with a revised “Last updated” date. Your continued use of RoleAtlas after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
